Halloween Oct 31st, 2007

Just beginning the door-to-door journey for...

CANDY!  This is the day that Adam learned what candy was and how to say it. You can tell by his expression that he loves candy! In the bottom picture of Adam can you guess which candy he likes best?  "Dutter!" as he calls them. Ethan was a Jedi Knight (I made the costume!), Sierra a Princess (as usual), and Adam a Doctor.  After one street both Adam and Sierra were done.  Too tired and cold! And their bags of candy already too heavy! So Dad took them home. Benefits of living in a townhouse complex.  Ethan on the other hand was determined to hit every house in the complex. Needless to say I ended up carrying Ethan's bag after a while because it was so full! Remind me why we do this? Do they really need all that candy?! Luckily my kids forget about there stash quite quickly and then it disappears!

Pre-Halloween Oct 2007

The kids were so excited about Halloween that they had a pre-Halloween dress-up party.  Wearing costumes from the dress-up bucket. It was fun to watch!

The Patriot Kids

Here are some pictures from the homeschool group we're a part of. We call ourselves the Patriot Kids. We meet every Thursday. We all go to the same church, realized we all homeschool, and got ourselves organized. There's a total of 24 kids, ranging from 5 months to 13 years old.

Yesterday was the 2nd Thursday of Sept. We did drama, PE, and music.

For drama the kids did charades.

Adam (on left) and his buddy. Here's Ethan doing "Tennis."

After drama we went outside for PE. We played Red Rover.

Then we all went inside for music. The kids danced to music, learned how the piano makes a sound, and listened to, looked at books, and colored pictures about Chopin.

Ethan and the boy in the red shirt are friends. Parker homeschools and lives just down the street. They play together everyday.

Seeing how this works

Hope it's simple
